How does Papua Coffee increase longevity?

Papua Coffee has an alkaline effect in the digestive system which promotes overall pH balance in the body. This supports a healthy cellular environment which keeps your body mineralized and looking youthful.

Is your coffee organic?

Yes. In addition, our coffee beans are Rainforest Alliance Certified which promotes nature preservation efforts, sustainable practices, and worker welfare. The coffee beans are also shipped in special GrainPro bags to prevent moisture and subsequent mycotoxin formation during transport.

Where do you source your beans?

Our roasting operation is devoted exclusively to Single Origin coffee beans from Papua New Guinea.

How do you prepare the Mediterranean coffee?

Our mediterranean grind is wonderfully versatile! We recommend it for 3 brewing methods:

1. Stove-top espresso maker.

2. Traditional Mediterranean style made in a small pot over flame or heated sand.

3. “Better-than-Instant” place 1 heaping teaspoon of Papua Mediterranean grind in your favorite coffee cup. Add 6 to 8 oz boiled natural spring water, stir, and steep for 3 minutes.

What coffee brewing method do you recommend?

We recommend brewing methods that retain as much of the precious essential oils as possible! For example: when you prepare our coffee in a French Press, you pour the boiled water over the coffee and immediately place the lid of the press trapping the steam (and beneficial essential oils).

What is the shelf life of the coffee?

For increased shelf life we recommend Whole Bean.

We use special “stay-fresh” bags that keep the unopened coffee for up to 1 year. For best results, store the bags in a cool dry place. Once the bag is opened use within 3 weeks for maximum flavor!

What is Peaberry?

Peaberry Coffee beans are rare (only 3% of coffee beans worldwide) and very special because they are naturally occurring when only one bean is fertilized in the coffee cherry. Peaberry beans are more nutrient-dense than regular coffee beans and higher in antioxidants. The flavor is delicate and fruity. Also contains more caffeine!

What does functional cold brew mean?

Functional Cold Brew is coffee with a purpose! Formulated by Dr. Avaness, this cold brew line is Papua Coffee extracted in natural spring water and infused with beneficial extracts to promote wellness - specifically supporting mood, energy, and metabolism.

How do I know which roast to purchase? What is the difference between the light, medium, med/dark and dark roasts?

Flavor and caffeine content will be your guiding factors to consider regarding which roast is best for you! Caffeine is denatured by heat so the lighter the roast, the higher the caffeine content (and the buzz). Our recommendations are based on addressing your needs.

Light Roast is excellent for a morning brew and if you prefer a mild caramel undertone.

Medium Roast is perfect for a nice pick me up with a deeper caramel undertone. (Both light and medium roasts are comparable in caffeine content).

Med/Dark Roast is a good choice if you prefer a bolder flavor and slightly less caffeine.

Dark roast is lowest in caffeine, highest in essential oils, and the best choice for after dinner to improve digestion and elimination of toxins.

All our roasts are delicious and provide detoxification, alkalizing properties.
