Our Coffee Beans

Unlike other coffee, Papua Coffee roasts only high quality Arabica beans from a pristine rainforest environment in the Papua New Guinea Highlands. These exceptional coffee beans will not contribute to acid reflux, jitteriness, and stomach discomfort.

No, we do not denature our coffee – however we do offer a variety of roasts to match your needs. If you are sensitive to caffeine, we recommend our dark roast and if you are looking for a morning brew to start your day we recommend our light roast.

Yes, our coffee beans are certified organic and they are also stored in special GrainPro bags to prevent moisture and subsequent mycotoxin formation during transport.

Peaberry Coffee beans are rare (only 3% of coffee beans worldwide) and very special because they are naturally occurring when only one bean is fertilized in the coffee cherry. Peaberry beans are more nutrient-dense than regular coffee beans and higher in antioxidants. The flavor is delicate and fruity. Also higher in caffeine!

Papua coffee comes in resealable stay-fresh bags for your convenience. For increased shelf-life we recommend purchasing whole bean coffee and grinding as you need it. Our coffee is freshly roasted and mycotoxin-free so if you store it in a cool, dry place, it should be good for several weeks after opening.

Brewing Methods

Our recommended brewing method is French Press. This prevents the beneficial essential oils from evaporating and also produces a full bodied brew!

Our Mediterranean grind is wonderfully versatile! We recommend it for 3 brewing methods: 1. Stove-top espresso maker.
2. Traditional Mediterranean (Armenian, Greek, Turkish style) is made in a small pot called a “jazzve” which is placed on stovetop over medium flame add 1 heaping teaspoon per 4 oz cup of water. Stir till coffee is dissolved then allow to brew until a foamy head rises. Now its ready to pour out into cups. Recommendation: serve with a Medjool date.
3. “Better-than-Instant” place 1 heaping teaspoon of Papua Mediterranean grind in your favorite coffee cup. Add 6 to 8 oz boiled natural spring water, stir, and steep for 3-5 minutes.

If your are traveling or on-the-go, we recommend using our Mediterranean grind for a “better than instant” cup of Papua Coffee! Quick and easy. Just stir 1 heaping teaspoon of Papua Mediterranean grind into 6-8 ounces boiled natural spring water, cover, and allow to steep for 3-5 minutes. (Amount of water and steeping time vary based on your individual taste – for a stronger brew use less water and steep longer).

Peaberry beans are delicate and are lightly roasted with a fruity undertone. Excellent for a morning brew!
Medium Roast is perfect for a nice pick-me-up with a deeper caramel undertone. (Both light and medium roasts are comparable in caffeine content). <
Med/Dark Roast is a good choice if you prefer a bolder flavor and slightly less caffeine. (most popular)
